LEGAL & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY POLICY

This Legal & IP Policy governs ownership, protection, and collaboration standards involving Crimson Loom Studios LLC.

1. Ownership of Studio IP

All intellectual property created, developed, or commissioned by Crimson Loom Studios LLC — including but not limited to:

  • Game titles

  • Story universes

  • Characters

  • Code

  • Artwork

  • Sound design

  • Branding

  • Marketing materials

— are the sole property of Crimson Loom Studios LLC unless otherwise agreed in a written contract.

No implied rights are granted.

2. Collaboration & Contractor Work

Unless otherwise specified in a signed written agreement:

  • All commissioned work is considered work-for-hire.

  • Payment does not grant ownership of Studio IP.

  • Contractors may not reuse, resell, or redistribute Studio assets.

  • Confidential information must not be disclosed.

Formal NDAs and agreements may be required prior to project involvement.

3. Unsolicited Ideas Policy

Crimson Loom Studios LLC does not accept responsibility for unsolicited creative ideas.

If you voluntarily submit concepts, you acknowledge that:

  • Similar ideas may already be in development.

  • Submission does not create ownership claims.

  • Submission does not entitle you to compensation.

  • No confidential relationship is formed unless a signed agreement exists.

4. Confidential Information

Any non-public project details, development materials, prototypes, or strategic plans are confidential.

Sharing or leaking confidential information may result in:

  • Immediate termination of collaboration

  • Legal claims

  • Financial damages

5. Trademark Notice

“Crimson Loom Studios” and associated logos are proprietary marks. Unauthorized use in commerce, branding, or digital spaces is prohibited.

6. Enforcement

We actively protect our intellectual property.

Unauthorized copying, distribution, or commercial use of our materials may result in cease-and-desist action and/or legal proceedings.

All disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States.
